Christy, this post tracked well with my experience of a life needing order yet appreciating the chaos challenges. The morning routine, straightening up, files, photos, even the nesting birds in back patio. Thanks for expressing the privileges of simply being here and enjoying this beautiful life. Janie
As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed this post. Thank you for sharing the happy news about Ozzie and Harriet. On this Mother's Day I'm grateful for many things --- especially for my wonderful mother who has now been in her heavenly home over 20 years. She was the kindest, most generous, loving person I've ever known. I'm grateful for getting to be a mother. Nancy Pannell
I learned something about my mom several years after I had graduated from college: because education was a high priority for my parents, and because they were faithful Baptists, my parents encouraged me to attend Baylor University. Even then, Baylor was incredibly expensive, much more so than state universities. Years after I had graduated from Baylor, I learned from my dad that Mom had done without a coat the years I was in college. Her former coat was worn out. She felt like she could manage the cold North Texas winters with layers of clothing and a sweater, so that her daughter could not just attend Baylor, but also have some extra "spending money".

You said it well: needing order yet appreciating the chaos. This is very much a privilege.
